Meet the Dogs!!

Happy Sunday, bloggers!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Mine was pretty laid back, but that's okay.
Since this WAS a pretty uneventful weekend, I've decided to dedicate this post to my other halves/my children..aka my pups :) A few of you have asked their breeds or ages etc, so, here you go!
For those who aren't weirdo dog lovers like me, I apologize for this corny post.
And, here we go..in the order they came home! First up, meet..

*Dakota*

Dakota is my first baby! He was born on February 14, 2004 and I got him as a birthday present that April. Here's us the day I picked him up at the airport:

He's a miniature American Eskimo. At first I thought I wanted a Pomeranian, so we were searching high and low for a white one. And then I came across this breed, did some research, and it was love. He's been the BEST dog anyone could ever ask for <3 He's sweet, loyal, well behaved, and such a momma's boy!

*Starfox*
Starfox is my mister and I's 'joint' child. His birthday is October 19, 2009 and we brought him home in February 2010. Again, I was looking for a female white Pomeranian..and saw this guy (the COMPLETE opposite of what I was looking for, of course) and fell in looove. So, I decided he must come home with us and after 10 million trips to go see him, Josh caved. Good thing he did, because now they're attached at the hip. He's a daddy's boy, but he's kind enough to demand equal attention from both of us..and anyone else who walks in the door.

One of the many visits

The day we brought him home :)

See what I mean? Daddy's boy.

*Aspen*
Aspen was a very sporadic addition to the family. Josh saw him on the http://ocnetpets.com website (the pound) and as soon as I saw his ad, I had to go visit him. At first I just wanted to give him some TLC and allow him to run around outside for a bit because they're unable to do that unless they have a 'prospect' to adopt them. But after playing and interacting with him, of course I was instantly attached.
He's a 4 year old standard American Eskimo and was only 17lbs when I adopted him, and was missing all of his hair on his backside from flea allergies. It was heartbreaking..as you can see below.

And this is a more recent photo. After some TLC..10 more pounds and hair all grown back!

And this is the day I brought him home! (January 2011)
Although we had a full house and this addition was a gamble, I am SO glad I did it. This dog has been absolutely incredible since day one. He was completely potty trained, is so obedient, such a momma's boy, and the most cuddly, loving, and sweetest dog in the world. It really blows my mind everyday how affectionate and amazing he is. It feels so good to know I saved this guy's life..and any other mammal additions we ever have we definitely be an adopted one!

And that's the pups! I promise I won't spam you with dog posts anymore. At least not this intense ;)

Today's polish haul & Happy Birthdayyy Starfox!!

Well, today was a good day in Casa de Nalley/Boyd. Josh had the day off, so our mission was to make some progress in this house, since we've been slacking a bit the last week or so.
(Ok, so, by that maybe I mean I'VE been slacking. But that's neither here nor there, right?)

Anyhow, we slept in, watched two movies we Redboxed (Bad Teacher & Bridesmaids. Yes, again.), went to lunch, ran some errands, and attempted to put another dent into this neverending saga of unpacking/hanging things up!

However, the highlight amongst all of this was it was our Papillon, Starfox's second birthday! Yay!! So while we were on the hunt for the Color Club polishes I've been looking for, we obvi had to find him a little something. So, we decided to get him a Fox toy since that's his name :)
(Okay, and maybe because it was squeekie but didn't have stuffing inside for him to destroy within two seconds. But he doesn't have to know that, either.)

Where's the birthday boy, you ask?
(Or maybe you didn't, but just roll with it)

-Here's the birthday boy and Dakota playing with the new toy-
(Sorry for the blur, action shot and I'm no photog!)

-Posing for momma-

-Aspen's not interested if he isn't the highlight of attention-

-Daddy and Foxy cuddling after a long day-

-And last, but CERTAINLY not least..today's haul!!!-

-I FINALLY got the Color Club sets I've been lusting over! Well, 3 of them anyway ;) -
And also some new nail art pens, and I scored those 2 Revlons at Big Lots for a whopping $2!

-Close up of Boho and Foiled sets, because they're fab. Please excuse the flash.-

-Well, that about outlines my day :) Hope everyone else had a good Wednesday as well! Tomorrow continues more work on the house, and going to a friend's birthday dinner later on. That's all for now :)

Puppy birthday party!

Today, a close friend of mine and her boyfriend had a little party for his pup, Bailey's 3rd birthday!

It took place at a dog park we have in Winter Park and it's a popular place for fellow dog owners to go and let their furry friends run about.

I have 3 dogs, and typically would haul them all to the park- but with it being so hot out lately, I was hesitant to bring my American Eskimos because their coat is so thick and they get so hot :/

As you can see, quite fluffy!

Sooo, I opted to bring the 6 pounder, our Papillon named Starfox. He's usually the easiest anyway because he's so small and just kind of trots around wherever you take him.

...Aside from car rides. He's a whiny little baby in the car, as you can see below.

I didn't take many pictures, but here's a few!

Bailey's cake, baked from Woofgang Bakery::

Where's my cake??

?Iz that for meeeez, daddy?

And the doggie bags for the guests::

Ok, so, we probably didn't need two pics of the bags, but how cute are the two dogs kissing in the background?

Okie, that's it for tonight..hope you enjoyed my cheesy little post about a day at the doggy park :)

Sleepy puppies!

Okay, so, I may have a slight obsesh with taking pictures of my dogs..especially when they're sleeping! Nothing is cuter than a sleeping pup, lets be real here. So here's a few from my creepy 'I take too many pictures of my dogs' gallery. ;)
